task in preparation of May 27 session

Name the invisible ground in your literature explicitly. Say where your theory comes from and where your data comes from and what that asymmetry costs you. Say whether your object is being treated as cultural or political and who benefits from that framing. Write it as if you were being fully honest with a reader who already knows the field.

Two hundred words maximum. Start with:

*”The literature I am working with was built in order to…”*

That opening clause forces specificity. It requires naming a purpose, an institutional need, a historical condition — not just a scholarly tradition floating free of its origins.

Bring this to the next session.
